HDP PS

Table tennis is what I’ve chosen for my PS. I was mistaken the first time I played against the other students because I had always assumed that table tennis was a very simple sport and that winning did not require much work. This sport involves a variety of skills and methods, as well as numerous playing styles and hand and leg motions. I was fairly new to table tennis when I started playing and was still learning how to play, but after years of practice, I became familiar with a variety of techniques and strategies.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

I realised that I was particularly good at serving when I was playing table tennis. I recognised my strength as my ability to score points in the service with ease when playing with friends. I gradually began by practicing rallies with the teacher before learning new skills. These were challenging at first, but with repetition, I improved and identified my areas for improvement.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

One of the challenges I faced was in facing powerful shots as I used to get confused on how to face them and toss the ball back to my opponent but eventually by practicing I got better and have started to take those shots

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

Table tennis can be played in pairs, as a team, or independently. To effectively collaborate, we must respect and work together as a team. We risk losing the match if we don’t cooperate with one another. Working together throughout the match has the advantage that neither party will be impolite and things will proceed nicely.
