Bal Mela was one of the most enjoyable moments of my life. Because I love working with kids and I like helping them teach them new things. I felt very happy seeing those children smile that made my day. I was assigned the role of sports I played football with those kids and we had a lot of fun. One of the main reasons why I liked this activity was because this activity was not only for fun but by playing this outdoor sport also improved their physical health. After seeing those children plays I felt so energetic and I haven’t regret a single movement that I have spent in the bal mela serving those children. Other than this, I loved spending my entire day helping those children and putting a beautiful smile on those children.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

This event lately for at least 5-6 hours and I haven’t taken a break in between and I was with the kids the whole time. The event took my undivided attention as we are the group of 3-4 people in which I was the goalkeeper and let children score so they can have a smile on their faces. Despite being tired I showed perseverance and commitment towards my CAS experience and stocked through my position and make those children’s day.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively:

In order for all the children to play football one by one I had to collaborate with my fellow teammates and had to make a strategy about how everyone will play the sport.

LO6: Engagement with issue of global significance AND LO7: Recognise and consider the ethics of choice and action.

The kids that were present on that days were underprivileged and did come from poor families. There were not familiar to any of the activities that were present on that day.

The global issue that were engaged with were

• No poverty: This activities can help them identify their interests by which with the help of those interests they can earn some money one day on a daily basis.
• Quality Education: The workshops that were present in this event had taught this children many things for example different types of arts, different types of sports which them might how have know in their daily lives.

Interacting with these children forced us to reflect on our own life, decisions, and behaviours. It helped us appreciate how fortunate we are and how our actions can impact those around us. It taught us to ponder the ethics of our behaviours, such as wasting food or taking education for granted.

The skills that I have developed/showcase in this events were:

• Open-minded: to accept those students and understanding their lives
• Caring: because by taking care of their happiness and locating enjoyable and beneficial activities for them.
• Reflective: Building appreciation for what I have and not taking thighs that I have for-granted.
