To highlight French culture, our school hosted an event. To arrange this event, all French students enthusiastically came together and formed teams. We set up several stations with information on new terms, pronunciations in French, its history, etc. Our gathering was turned into a Francophonic scene, complete with French tunes filling the air. Students from a variety of backgrounds had the opportunity to learn more about French culture and expand their knowledge of it. We put our whole souls into making this event a success with the aid of collaboration, imagination, and passion.

LO 1- identify one’s strengths and develop area for growth

In order to increase my vocabulary in French, I chose the topic that I found most challenging while assigning responsibilities for the French activities. I had to know a lot about the subject overall before I presented my booth so I could explain it to the audience. In addition, I used my creative abilities to create visually striking décor out of paper and other materials while we were creating it for the event.

LO 3- demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience 

Our initial delay in organising and carrying out the program was caused by getting ready for oral tests in French. because of this, we had to move swiftly to prepare the location, invite guests, get permission, make guest lists, call the photography crew, etc. We managed to finish everything on schedule by taking things one at a time. We gained knowledge on how to effectively utilise the remaining time and interact with others for the event. not to mention how much effort it takes to make the event a success.

LO5- Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively

We eventually got everyone to help and contribute to their share, even though at first not many people were interested in hosting the event. We invested in planning, administration, and décor starting with early arrivals and worked during open slots. We all cooperated and helped each other based on our skills because some folks were experiencing trouble with the décor. Furthermore, we chose to divide up and work towards the part of a classmate who was unable to attend the event day. When we were all finished, we used our strengths to assist in setting up the venue’s decor.

Conclusion

It was a lovely occasion. It was one of the nicest weeks we had spent together as a group, and we all bonded. Learning new French words, phrases, and pronunciation as well as about one another personally helped us get closer and ensured the success of the event.
